Flexible DTI Mag Base

Fed up with faffin about with std mag bases. I'm looking at buying a Flexible Mag base.

Looking for comments and suggestions, on the better makes

there brill the flexible mag bases got an unknown make one given and its ok try before buy though

just make sure if u get a second hand one the magnets not crap and gone off no matter what the make

well those 2 are the best so shell out and u wont be disapointed , u cant have a rolls royce for the price of a mini

I can assure you that the kennedy flexible mag stand is crap. was given one by a fitter in work who didn't like it. put my DTI on it a few days later to clock the spindle after a changeover and I couldn't get it to lock in place where I wanted it.

prefer the normal ones to that one, although if I had a starret i am sure the results would be much better

just been out and had a look .the freebie mag base i got is a draper and sticks likle sh .../t to a blanket and the clocks a mercer an other good make

draper seem to make decent stuff as long as you don't want it to cut something in my experience

I have a mag base that is fitted with two rows of 'fingers' (think profile gauge but thicker) that can be pushed in and out to get it to stick to uneven or curved surfaces. I spend more time getting bloody swarf off it...

but are they cheap i got a nearly brand new starret dti with delivery from ebay for 6 quid was gonna pick it up as it was only 10 miles away but for that price had it delivered
