I've used both and the Parweld arc is more stable
Hi Langy. When you say you used both are you talking about the Parweld and the R tech or the Parweld and Thermal Arc? Regards,
Antonio Costa
Parweld & rtech
I use a Parweld 200 acdc at home and found it a great little machine, had it about 7 years now
Thanks langy. Do you mind if I ask if you use a original parweld footpedal with it and how well does it perform?
Regards,
Antonio Costa
I find the Parweld a great little machine, the DC arc is more stable than an R-Tech, but restrictive on aluminium as not much frequency control, not a problem for me as I have access to a Miller. It will do aluminium fine but not to the standard I prefer.
The Parweld pedal is very good as its lower than most and has a pot on the side for up & down amps, I had a small problem with it a short while ago when I thought the machine was playing up as it would only start at 80 amps, but it turned out the Pot in the pedal had come off its plastic lug and turned a few degrees, sorted it by cutting plastic lug off and making metal one, this was after 5-6 years of use though.
I'm pretty sure the Parweld & the TecArc are the same machine, one thing is the Parweld says made in Japan on the back, don't know if it means anything quality wise ?
