Isn't it better to conduct some research and have a vague idea of what's going on before taking things apart, some things might not be so obvious, even when opened upI don't see the logic in waiting around for someone to say it might be this it might be that when you could have it srtripped within the hour and finding out what it is.
the plastics might be fractured it does happen specially where a bearing is encased,the B&D sanders are known for this and the case just shatters when a knot is hit.

How much are they for Al oxide?I can supply 75 x 560 or 100 x 560 in lots of 10 belts per grit in Aluminium Oxide or premium Zirconia (best for steels).bad joints will cause vibration,cheers,john.
