What you need are boxes full of crap (as our lass calls it) that will come in useful one day, I never throw anything away without first taking apart and saving useful things like springs. If you don't have the salvager gene

why is it when someone posts for info and without telling us what and replies are given they disapear within half an hour

I'm afraid I've misunderstood how these clamps work - the spring doesn't actually do the clamping does it 
Anyway, I think I phrased the question badly, I was just looking fr a stockist or something so I could look though and find the right spring. I wasn't expecting people to source the exact spring for me.
I'm not sure of which brands they are - I just have a box full of them. I bought a few cheap ones off ebay along the way which are probably the ones that are failing now.

They're only fit for the bin once they go.....which they always do.

Yep, lesson learned.
still confused what we're talking about here, mole type or some cleco's or something else.
The cleco edge clamp's would fit with a spring to lock them. If you can put everyone out their misery, they can direct you better who's likely to hold the right ones.
