Surprising browser behaviour

I am a bit confused, but all of a sudden I am unable to access LT-Freunde.de. Warning...Germans talking about old vans.

Last week all was well but now all I get is the address bar and a blank screen. That is in Chrome, so I tried Firefox, the same. I even tried Opera today. Lo and behold it showed properly, but after I signed in, back to blank page and address bar.

The information from the little page on the address bar is the same for this site and Brickyard, so I am perplexed.

?Any ideas IT chaps?

It is particularly annoying since I had offered help to someone but have no idea how to find out what is happening.

It's more likely something to do with your ISP.

Try changing DNS in your router to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

?Why should it change only one page....so far?

My DNS is *** *** 4 *** and the secondary is *** *** 8 *** both of which are automatically applied by ISP. Neither are four digit.

I have done all the usual stuff, networks etc etc, but not this. ?What will it be doing?

I prefer to know rather than follow blindly.

if everywhere else is ok they may be having server or network problems, or may have changed their DNS settings following a server migration in which case it should repropagate within 72hours or so

is this a normal view of the webpage, copied and pasted at 19.49 Hrs, Fri 12Th worked viewing with Firefox.

Hallo Ihr lieben,

Ich bin neu hier und habe ein ziemliches Problem mit meinem LT 28 Sven Hedin Bj 79,seit
29 Jahren in meinem Besitz.

Der Zylinderkopf ist gerissen und ich kann keinen Neuen bekommen.

Hat noch jemand einen guten gebrauchten???

Passt eventuell auch ein DW Zylinderkopf mit Vakuumpumpe an der Nockenwelle ???

Bei meinem Fz. Wird die Vakuumpumpe über einen Keilriemen über die Kurbelwelle angetrieben.

Except it is not translated.....yes I suppose so.

I tried Ubuntu earlier and that did the same, proving HighwayStars' verdict that it is probably ISP related and not Windoze. I should have mentioned OS earlier.

On an off topic note Metal Britannia is on with Deep Purple at the moment, HighwayStar. Best tell Chunko for IPlayer lovlieness.

My main bugbear has been sorted by a cross-forum helper, so the fact I still cannot get on LT-Freunde is personal only now.

I tried changing the DNS but could not connect, so another tack is necessary.

I just tried ( http://lt-freunde.de/forum/ ) in Firefox and it seem to come up OK, although I do not speak German it looks like what your original was.

We have tried pinging eBay website using our server and the website returned the above results. If ebay.com is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Yes it keeps kicking me out. Just out of interest if you have an auction finishing when eBay is down do you have any comeback?

Sorry not got a clue, but previously every forum seemed to have criticism about the problem of overloaded servers affecting in particular E Bay sites worldwide. Many of theses people run a business and get many sales/queeries per hour,and like you auctions finishing and no one getting bids in.
E bay are more than aware of the problem and are not by any means hardup-- surely this is fixable, last time was almost 2 days disruption

I haven't got anything for sale, I was looking at it from the other point of view, sticking a few cheeky low bids in when eBay is playing up.

No difference, I managed to cath the blocked popup which also made no difference.

?Any further pointers?

from the above I would say the css sheet is missing or corrupted, nothing to do with your end
