yea chucked one in the binAh bollix,I've just had a look in the spare room for an old B&D drill stand I had for ages,can't see it so must have thrown it out? could have knocked up a morticer with a motor I have and the drill stand.

Oh god, I don't use it. It's crap. Plus I'd be afraid of breaking it. Belonged to my Dadi hope u use it through an rcdmore people snuffed it by being electrocuted with them cos the earth leads had snapped and a fault developed

Drills are noisier too.A half decent morticer you could use all day long without the minimal noise it generates becoming irksome. Some drills however would drive you to distraction within no time.
Plus you lose the compound table facility of a morticer when using a drill stand.
I bought the Axminster attatchment and use it in my Meddings Drilltru. For the money, it works well, though I did have to machine the collar to fit it. Quite happy with it for occasional use with oak and iroko. Came with three chisels, biggest was 1/2".
That made me think; Funnily enough, I still have the catalogue from then (04) and the price list has it as separate or with 3 chisels inc. at 34 quid.You got a bargain then,the drill bits are not inclusive of the morticer attachment,fact the chisels are dearer than attchment.
