Degreasing underside of car

I have my E30 bare shell on a rotisserie and I need to clean the underside of it. I have jetwashed most of the 20 years of crap off it, and attempted to use Gunk to get all the grease off. The Gunk degreaser doesn't seem to be strong enough, is there a stronger degreaser that will really get the tar off that I can jetwash off afterwards? I was thinking paraffin in a garden sprayer?

realy u need a hotwater power washer using traffic film remover for heavy grease

I was planning on renting a hotwater power washer. Is traffic film remover good at removing grease and tar? Or would paraffin be stronger?

traffic film remover will soften paint if applied hot in a power washer u can buy it by the gallon and it will remove no problem

Paraffin and plenty of rags and elbow grease works. Just bag the dirty towels and take to dump.

I used the muck-off degreaser on I'm and it worked better than white spirits.

I did a first stage of using car shampoo to clean the normal muck off first.

Paraffin or kerosene are my favourites for degreasing. Kerosene, (heating oil), seems a tad more aggressive at removing grease and is cheaper than paraffin, but it does have a stronger odour.

I use TFR for degreasing most things (get it 'cheap' in work along with truck wash), it does the job well. it is brutal stuff when applied hot, will eat through any grime, grease or any other type of dirt on the car

Caustic soda mixed strong in very hot water and a stiff brush work well, just wear gloves and goggles though.

go to your local vehicle refinishing supplier and get "glue and Tar remover" spray it on with a plant sprayer leave to soak for a short time then scrape off

Nasty stuff. Had a bit of that seep into a glove whilst I was using it. Not long enough for a burn, (I was stripping paint. Medium strength solution), but I got my hands cleaned pretty sharpish when I realised some had snuck in. Caustic is always a last ditch method with me, unless it's either a fairly weak solution or in a container for dipping things in. I'm a fair old wuss around caustic. Effective but nasty stuff.
