didnt realise 16v fronts were weld in all over the williams centre section is bolt in

They're not mate, I need to cut that section out... Poverty spec clio items are different to valvers and williams somewhat. Mostly the outer panels, the inner wings are the same for all mk1s, and inner rear quarters on mk1s are the same as the inner rear quarter on a mk2 clio which is handy

I need to order inner wheel arch for mine they're kippered, well the drivers side is, the os is still solid

After long thinking and debating I've decided I'm not going to finish this project, it's been a good 3 years but my decision is now final. RIP TOA

I've got bipolar depression so from time to time I feel like giving up on everything I've come through it though, just need to write up a rota ;-) maybe then things will be smoother for me

That's not good but at least you seem to be able to talk about it. Projects can get to be very depressing at times, especially when you don't see much progress just stacks of work ahead so don't let it beat you.

The days of been ashamed of been mentally ill are done with, in a fashion. I'm happy to discuss it now, it helps me somewhat. And I'm not letting it get to me anymore, if I write myself a Rota I can do it in blocks, thus not getting frustrated lol

I find closing the door and taking a break or working on something else helps. Currently I am having a reshuffle of my workshop space and servicing all the machine tools that have been neglected over the past couple of years to make me feel better about the project I'm working on if that makes sense. I think you are brave taking on the restoration of a modern car as I prefer older cars & bikes, I often look at newer stuff and wonder if or why anyone would bother to try restoring run of the mill modern cars unless they are something special. A friend of mine has a Clio 172 Cup I've worked on and driven, I get what he likes about it but seems so frantic to go anywhere quickly in it and keep it on the boil all the time.

That works for me too, I like to do gardening and house stuff (decorating etc) too.
I do love these cars, I wanted one from been about 8 years old when my brother had the RT version. The 16v and williams are becoming thin on the ground nowadays, they're either ragged to within an inch of their life or getting used for track, that's part if the reason I chose to restore mine, I've not seen anyone else restore one (obviously people will have but not everybody posts on forums)
I do want to restore a williams once mine is complete, and I've always wanted to restore a mini too, the parts for them are all readily available and so cheap too. I will also be restoring a renault 5 Soon, I'm in the process of buying it, it's rally tuned, fully stripped but needs some welding, but it is a ltd edition model tr so it will be going back standard with the engine been left as is. I'd love to start my own business restoring and doing general bodywork on cars etc but due to my illness I don't think I'll ever have the chance to maybe one day I'll wake up and be normal and be able to fulfil the dream of owning my own body shop
