Quick stupid question

I bought a couple of those flat twisted knot rotary wire brushes for the angle grinder.
Which way round are they fitted on the grinder? with the nut towards the grinder or on the outside?
Doesn't say anything on the thing except wear eye protection!

Last I used, which almost killed me, the nut went towards the grinder.

Looked "comfortable" that way...

Make sure it's good eye protection, they are lethal things when the wire comes shooting out at xxxx mph and if it hits end on I suspect it could go through some of the flexible visor type materials, will also go through skin easily, which I suppose can leave a bit to the imagination of what damage they could cause with that one in a million chance hit.

nut towards the grinder, otherwise the brush interferes with the guard (if you have one, you need one for those brushes, they will rip fingers off too)

Consider a cheap leather welders apron as well, I found wires embedded in my overall legs so started wearing an apron after that.

They found wire deep in my elbow after an x ray on my joint asked if it could be taken out, they said as it was deep in the muscle no because they would cause more damage searching and cutting through the muscle.

I noticed a little splinter just slightly sticking out of my leg one night and when I pulled it with a tweezers it was one of those wires end on embedded in the flesh of my leg ;-)
