Cellulose health problems ?

I did a bit of spraying yesterday , the two-pack epoxy on my bike frame. I wore a 3m face mask that i know was up to the job. When i was finished spraying i washed the gun in cellulose thinners and also washed any overspray off my hands and boots. Today i feel poxy, no energy and aches and pains all over. Does this sound lke something cellulose thinners causes ?

doesn't sound like anything from celly ive ever encountered, your face mask however could be the culprit, they are not recommended to use with 2k as they can leak at the seal with your face that's why air fed use positive pressure, any leaks and its only fresh air escaping not 2k being drawn in

Its two pack epoxy though snooper, its non isocyanite , plus i used it last week and was fine, no problems, i reckon its the thinners.

Yeah it gave me a headache too, it might just have been the heat, or a pure coincidence and i have a summer flu.

are you sure no isocyanates ? celly usually starts to get you a bit high if it has an effect on you

Yes , i checked the makers safety sheet.

they sometimes have them in under slightly different names as well such as Hexamethylene diisocyanate and others

I personally think some of the other comments are spot on, more likely to be 2K than the cellulose thinners. Some of the chemicals in modern paints can progressively sensitise you viz a viz occupational Asmatha

Nah its the flu snooper, i had a dose exactly the same about three years ago, and i'd never had anything to do with 2k or isocyanates back then. In addition my chest and breathing are perfect, its my head and waterworks that are giving me grief. A lad i get a lift to the gunclub with had the same thing a few weeks back.

I was sweating like a glass blowers **** earlier, but then that switches to shivering.
