woke up at about 1 off a night shift and the missus said i had a package. I haven't ordered anything, not expecting anything and so on.

anyway i open it up and there are 2 rails of sockets in there, 3/8 drive from 10-24 and 1/2 drive from 10-30 (minus 25,26,28,29)

so in just wondering, who the hell sent them to me. They had my name and address on the package, no return address, no note, no receipt, ive had no ails or phone calls about them, my father or brother know nothing of them and its really confusing me.

it is quite handy, i haven't really replaced my socket set after they were nicked from my shed but as i still have all 3 ratchet handles i now have pretty much a full set up to 30mm again.

still no idea who sent them though

doubtful. These are brand new and appear to be quite good quality, plus i doubt whoever nicked my last ones would know my name, all the people round here that know my name know not to steal from me

Have you bought tools from an ebay seller recently? Perhaps they should have been sent to someone else but the seller got the address mixed up having sent you tools recently. You may hear from them when the other customer complains about non-delivery.

I'm glad you posted, I was just giving my new warehouse manager grief for sending those out to the wrong address with no prospect of finding out which one, but that's quite lucky (for him!).
I'll PM you the address for where to return them to, sorry for the inconvenience (and hope of keeping them!).

haha well as it happens i have just had a knock on the door from the person who sent them. An old guy a few streets away as it happens. He has an autistic grandson that is mad about bmx's and just after my kit was nicked he asked me if i could fix an old bmx that he had bought at a boot sale. Rusty as hell and hardly any paint on it. Anyway, i sprayed it electric blue, got the wheels spinning freely and the brakes working and gave it back. Didn't ask for any money as it was for the young lad. Turns out he saw these sockets at a boot sale over the bank holiday and thought of me as he knew mine were nicked. He said consider it payment for the bike, his grandson is still riding it around and its going strong and he washes it every Sunday lol. Nice to work for people that appreciate what you do

i don't mind doing work like that for free, it made the young lad happy and a pensioner got to keep his money. It only took and hour to strip it and clean it then the time for the paint to dry, which i had left over from doing another job anyway. When i opened the door i was expecting to say the bike was broken or something, was quite surprised when he asked if id got the sockets, his grandson came and put them through the letterbox this morning for him
