How to replace 160TM tip holder

I have a mangled tip holder, I have a nice shinny new one from weldequip

but i cant shift the old one, when I try and unscrew it from the swan neck it goes nowhere

how hard should i try to do this, I'm concerned that I will end up knackering the swan neck?

It may be a left hand thread.

my sealey was a left hand thread, but the tip holders are available in both left and right hand threads so ideally you need to get the old one off before buying the new one.

put the tip holder in the vice and use the swan as leverage. Be gentle though

Look at the threads on the new one to see which way to turn it.

they are available in both varieties for some torches so that may not work.
