how much is co2???

hey folks,

looking to convert my welder from gasless to gas for a cleaner and neater weld and was wondering what i need to be looking out for??

i have a large bottle here in my garage (about 4ft) which is green and grey (argonsheild i think)...., can i literally go to my local boc place and exchange it for a similar sized bottle of co2??? if i can what would i be expecting to pay for such a privlidge???

Get your Yellow Pages out and ring a few numbers,you'll soon find someone who'll cheerfully fill up the bottle you have with Co2 on the cheap,without the fuss of paying bottle rental etc to BOC and the like.

The bottle belongs to BOC and only they can legally fill it.

Frankly anyone who puts one type of gas in a cylinder labelled for another type wants shooting.

Certainly try Yellow Pages, Energas seems a favourite round here.

Green and grey cylinders from BOC are just compressed air
That wouldnt have helped much with welding!
