Pretty much bought a tig but need help getting it home

Hi folks

I have pretty much bought a miller dynasty 300dx with watercooler and foot pedal. My problem is I need to get it to Aberdeen, but the welder is in Newbury. I've looked at couriers but it's to big for most of them and I'm worried about them just throwing it down. Normally I'd go down and fetch it but I have a demolition contract starting tomorrow which could take upto 8 weeks and I need the tig before then.

Can anyone recommend someone that could bring it up?
Or if anyone is driving upto Aberdeen il happily pay the fuel and beer money to know it's being taken care of.

I thought about that but none of my local agents that I deal with are going that far south in the next few weeks. I've tried streamline but they haven't got back with a quote they are taking an age

Used them three times now to send a transformer plasma, donkey saw and all the seats out of a fiat scudo! Last lot was quite oversized and held together with blue rope but no bother at all. Very helpful to deal with and there is real people on a phone should you have any issues

We've sent and received all sorts of random stuff by pallet courier, stuff that spans over two/three euro pallets, stuff that makes a 7.5T wagon lean over to one side, 4m long tubes, the list goes on.

Try Expect Distribution. They have never let me down.

I might be able to help. If Burdekin has some sound deadening I can buy from him, I could get the local haulage firm to collect your set,take it up to aberdeen and collect the sound deadening.

Will do bud, I could also take that motor that we talked about aswell, kill 2 birds with one stone as long as the haulage isn't expensive. Got a quote from speedyshift for £115 with £3000 insurance

That is very true but if I could go and collect it I would coz I'd treat it like a baby and nothing would harm it haha

I know what you mean, I've seen a couple of robots damaged by using ratchet straps in the wrong places to tie them down, although not as expensive as when someone climbed on one and wrote off 2 high precision gearbox/motor units!
