Took a punt on one of these...anyone got any experience of them(the seller)?

Folkestone Fixings used to sell the Evo grinders for a good price but they don't do them any more.

I saw them selling a batch on ebay and their site last year, round about the £70 mark iirc. But I d*cked about then forgot, when I stumbled across the link in my favourites again they had all been sold...that procrastination is a nitemare

Yes, looks like they had 240 and 110v, but the 240 or 230v if you prefer is greyed/sold out. Also, all UK 110v uses a round plug afaik(waits to stand corrected).

Thanks. I ask as i have a little 110V transformer but wasn't sure if it would be compatible. At that price they look like something everyone needs!

I bought a die grinder to cost me 80 quid or more.
bought to do polishing in awkward corners etc way to fast so its been stuck in the cupboard only seeing daylight now and again.
drill to slow and the d grinder to fast!

thatswhere a compressed air die grinder comes in usefull .top speed and down to a few rpm and no loss of power

ok if you've got a big compressor ,a 50 ltr isn't going to last.

I have a Dewalt one, and would not be without it.
I dont use it for weeks at a time, but when needed it is a great tool.
Buy decent carbide bits and they last for ages, and dont let anybody else even touch it.
Top tip. Turn your collar up.
If you are working in sunlight it looks lovely as it snows glitter all over you.
Then itches like Newport crabs for the rest of the day.

Where do you usually get your burrs from, and is there a specific make that's decent? Had a quick look and Cromwell have Kennedy and York, but not sure of price or quality.

A friend of mine made a speed controller for his die grinder using a light dimmer switch.

Worked well, it does lose some torque when you slow it right down but it's ok if you don't really lean on it.
Might be worth a go rather than having it loafing at the back of the drawer.
