Foot pedal

I am looking for a foot pedal for my tecarc 206i . It has 2 x 5 pin plugs one of which has the gun trigger in it at the moment . Not sure what I need at all .

Have you tried TecArc themselves?

The TecArc pedal is around £200 new and has two plugs on to match the machine, one for switching and the other for current control. There is a control knob on the side to set maximum amperage and the pedal varies the amperage up to that setting.

i have the same welder with the pedal yes it's a lot of money but it is well built.

Does the foot pedal have two 5 pin plugs or just the one . Think I understand it . If the foot pedal is used then it would be in 2T. The gun trigger starts and stops the weld and the foot pedal controls the heat so by my reckoning the foot pedal will have only the one 5 pin plug . Or maybe I got that wrong.

The pedal has two plugs, one for the switch and the other to control the current. The torch switch plug is disconnected and swapped out for the pedal switch, no need to alter the 2T/4T switch.

Thanks for that. I was just looking to buy a cheaper foot pedal but looks like its the dedicated one with the two plugs only .

It is possible to make your own or alter another pedal if the resistances are correct. As justmental said previously the TecArc pedal is expensive but well built, very smooth in operation. Weldequip stocks them here.
