The 195 uses a 230v single phase input. And yes, the manual does stink. But I found that when it is set up correctly it welds very well. Mine came without a spool tension spring and nut, so I went to the auto parts store and spent about $2.00 on the parts, and all went well. It is certainly not the best welder out there, but for the money it will work well, and I use mine on farm equipment, structural assemblies, etc, keeping in mind the duty cycle of 10% at 195 amps. When wiring the plug, there are three wires, including one green. The green wire goes to the straight vertical prong when looking at the front. Otherwise the rest of the wires (two 110 hot wires) can be wired in any way.. Hope this helps.New to the Forum. Just bought a WOLF BRAND under different name. Manual stinks. Does anyone have one. I need advice on the power input.
