Been given some logs from an apple tree, want to square of base and ho,lllow out to make some hides for my snakes.
What's best way?
Don't have accesses to chain saw just usual portable power tools.

get drilling a load of holes with a large auger bit and finish of with wood chissel happy days

There are cheaper copies that use a piece of chainsaw chain. They look well dodgy to me.
