That was done with a Clarke 130EN. Almost no spatter. It does blow holes easier.
How well it works depends on the welder and your technique. It is more sensitive to torch/work distance due to the lower workable wire speed range..
Is it just me or do these welds look like some sort of fossilised fish?
I've had a word with my local pub landlady and she's ordering me a good sized Co2 bottle next time. I've looking into the Adams rent free bottles, I know there's a separate thread about gas and suppliers, but is the Adams rent free deal a good one? I'm open to any Nottingham members to where they get their gas from. With working away midweek all the time, its hard to find a gas supplier open on a Saturday.
