Got a perfect space in the workshop, price is right, it's shiny and spins round... it's hellish when you sit racking your brain, trying to think what you could make that would justify owning a new workshop addition.

I thought they were in all Aldi branches, unless there are some smaller branches that don't.. not sure.

i have seen the offers on things before,, but they are not always in the one in norwich,

Sounds like they are selective with location then, I would judge my town a small place and they get everything that's advertised.

They had a habit with some of the larger things of only having half a dozen or even less and I have seen them sold out within 2 minutes of opening.

I cheat and go late the day before!, they normally put the special buy stuff out ready for the following day but are quite happy to sell it to you.

Our Aldi always has the offers and they never put them out the day before. I doubt they will sell out of those in a hurry though.

I suspect they will go like the proverbial hot cakes, a lot cheaper than the cheapest on Ebay and there's a lot of wannabee wood turners around that will see it as a cheap entry route into the hobby.

pity they dont have a chuck ,, its a very basic lathe, when i had my wood lathe i ended up spending hundreds on other bits just so i could do the items that i wanted to do ,, not easy with out a chuck

Bought exactly the same model from Wicks 10 years ago, heavy piece kit but very sturdy and reliable if you throw away the tools and buy good ones. When I bought it the cost was £79.00 tens years ago.
