ring sealy up or heres an agent http://www.ccw-tools.com/prodtype.asp?CAT_ID=1679&strPageHistory=category or take the seals to a bearing transmision supplys and match them up

Register on Sealey web site, find your jack model number, go to parts get p/numbers and order.....by phone......simples...

would a bad ram seal cause a jack to fall

When my jack was failing all it took was some jack oil and a quick bleed to sort it out. Slacken the lowering screw and pump it a few times then tighten it back up and try it. Jacks don't fall suddenly, they give in gracefully and let you down slowly or just don't lift at all.

i took mine apart and found the the ram seal was in pieces

Actually not.. I had a trolley jack suddenly let go and drop the car. Being young and stupid, I had not used stands and had a sudden feeling and got out, just before it came down. No idea why I felt that, but I now am religious about stands.

That's screwed then, you need a new one, you'd best register and order then....
