Just sold my 2002 Speed Triple on Wednesday and collected a 53 plate 17k mile Gixer 1000 K3 yesterday. Been out this morning and I'm amazed how things have moved on in just a couple of years. Last in line 4 I had was a 97 RRV Blade, 2001 Mille-R before that, 2001 R1 before that and 99 RRX Blade before that. This thing has moved that benchmark by a fair bit. The brand new bikes must be something else.

Well clean and pampered too!

Nice. Suzuki always have been ahead of the game interms of development I feel. Its only two years younger than the R1 you had but you find it so different. Could be something to do with coming off a tiger onto a hooligan bike also...

The new bikes now look so dainty, it puts me off buying one - and the power is all in the greater revs rather than extra torque, plus so many more things to go wrong.

The new bikes now look so dainty, it puts me off buying one - and the power is all in the greater revs rather than extra torque, plus so many more things to go wrong.

The Triumphs have a few issues too, sprag clutch problems, wiring issues, reg/rec, iacv and high revving problems, the earlier engine had exploding 4th gear problems. It's all relative I suppose.
