just got back from show at harrogate, great trip out, took eldest and youngest boy with me.
got some great deals on tools i wanted and some i didnt know i wanted till i saw them .
got new centre finder fom rdg for less than their website price along with new set of centre punches new vernier and lots more.

youngest was looking at a dti on magnetic stand whilst i was chatting to one of guys on stall, other guy on stall asked him if he knew what it was.

tay just gave him the look and said of course i do, im an engineer producing his 6" steel rule that big bro had bought him.
said its a dti on magnet for checking things are running true, causing laughter round table and astonished look on guys face.

was only yesterday i was using one and told him about it.

both boys had great time now saving for next year.

Is it usually a good show, although I've missed this year and last year due to being skint and not really needing anything (not that I normally need an excuse)

My dad was talking to someone who'd been yesterday, he said it was heaving and apparently had been even busier on Friday

Maybe I'll go next year.....

Not as many stalls as last year,a good show as usual but wouldn't pay some of the 2nd hand prices, perhaps I've been spoiled paying autojumble prices.

gotto agree onprices guy there selling well used and scruffy copies of workshop practice books for £6 and 2 stalls away were £7 brand new

I think some sellers at shows rely on the occasional punter with no clue about prices to show up and pay a premium for tat. You should see some of the prices being asked for broken crap at the GDSF.

I don't bother much with the second hand stalls anymore, most prices were plain silly!

I don't think there is, there was a new show at Manchester but it's just been cancelled after its second year, a show at Edinburgh or Glasgow would be handy

yeh for sure, closest iv came is selkirk vintage rally, its got a good showing of live model steam and ic engines
