What I picked up today a 1942 Dodge Carryall

Pick this up today it's a Dodge Carryall 1942 from USA
if you look closely you can see the bullet holes in the driver screen!

It is not mine I was just transporting it for a guy he already has one the open top jeep jobby, but wanted to have something to keep the weather out. is going to restore it the tin work is incredible considering it has stood outside for 71 yrs ! with only a whisper of paint on it. The wooden floor and the canvas roof was gone.
I maybe involved in some work on it.
you should see the radio it is the size of a cupboard 3ft long by 18" square !
and has 16mm section copper cable to it!

my canadian chevy gun tractor from 1943 was in a state when i first found it

but after much time and effort i restored her to this

it was used as a gun tractor during the war but when it was demobbed it was converted for work in civvy street erecting "Tyler" farm building up and down the country



If your mate is going to do a restoration thread I wouldnt mind getting a link to his work

Guy local to me has one of those chevy trucks in full military dress, takes it to shows round the country and its an absolute beast up close

They were made by ford and chevrolet during the war and their parts had to be interchangeable, they were known as CMP's or Canadian Military Pattern
