Bit of a mixed bag,
Friday night fitted the last few parts on the vette project i've been working on,
back on its temp wheels and ready to go back to Paul the owner on monday night, sure does sit low.
Saturday, spent most of the day at a mates workshop on the car i built a chromemoly tube chassis for,
car was due for new tube headers of a new design, the new ones exiting through the front wings, safety being one of the reasons for this,
with around 1200hp on tap you dont want a head gasket failure and water under the tyres,
got the drivers side done with just the threaded bosses needing welding in for air-fuel ratio and cylinder temp for tho onboard data logger computer,
Primary tubes are 2-1/4" with 4" merge colectors.
Sunday,
Built up half of the other tube header then back home for another couple of jobs,
made a couple of steering link bars for a hotrod Austin Devon pickup,
then finally did my good deed for this weekend for a mates nephew,
he's only aged ten and wants the build an easyrider style chopper from an old bmx bike, so cut the headstock off the front of the frame and notched/welded it back on about 15 degrees steeper for a hefty rake,
he'll work out in the week how long he wants the front forks,
wonder how long he'll go for?
Well thats my weekend...and the beer i'm currently drinking!
