What's the best way to sell these ???

Hi guys, I picked up a shed load of lathe tooling and indexable tips in a machinery purchase, I have most things already so wanted them to go to a good home so what do think is the best way to sell them, there are many different types and it would take ages to list them all.

it depends if you want the best price or just to get rid of them at a nominal price? For the former then listing them is inevitable, but sold as individual types will realise much more money. Is your time worth that?

I would be very interested in anything that would fit a Myford ML7 lathe but those tool holders look very big.

I was thinking of listing the tips as a job lot because of the time involved, a trader could make good money out of them as there are thousands !!!

Yeah all the holders are 3/4"-1", there were a lot of small ones but my mates robbed me of them

If we're talking ebay, a joblot of inserts of a certain type along with the toolholder for that type, you might end up with 8 or 10 lots but people who dont already own a toolholder for that insert type will go for a bundle deal like that and drive the price up a bit.
You might struggle with the bigger grooving tool inserts, theyre not much use to a hsm type because of the machine requirements and they tend to be a bit proprietory holder wise...

I'd be interested in CcMT309 tips, which I think I can see there, and also toolholders up to 12mm, which is a bit bigger than myford size.Also need 2mm stainless parting tips!

match the tips up to the tool holders and sell in lots . tips on there own or tools withoiut tips are useless as theres that many diffrent types its a minefield

Have you got any 3mm rad tips? and any box of finishing tips I can make up some brazed tip tools I can use at college asI'm so fed up with the blued knackered bits fo cheese they call high speed steel!
