Low Voltage Transformers

Any ideas where to buy replacements?

I have a plug in water feature in the garden and the transformer has packed up.

Information on the data plate is



Usual Google search has drawn a blank so far.

It's got a female socket for 2 pins to connect to the Water feature



Seen as I had it from Costco it's covered by the lifetime members Guarantee, ordinarily I'd of just took it back for a refund but I had it last year as it was end of line/ex display and it was reduced to about £25 quid from over £120 so I won't be able to get another

get a normal 12V transforer and stick it in a waterproof box

Will I be able to fit the male end with them 2 pins on that connects to the feature and still keep it waterproof in one of them boxes?

You could also look for xmas lights power supplies, I've seen them with similar connectors. (waterproof for outdoor lights)

Chop plug off and use connector block

Have found one online for £20. Seems to have the same socket fitting but it's rated at 12w and the broken one is 6w. Will it make that much difference or might it burn the pump out?

So the ones listed are basically the same but not IP 44 rated?

It will be fine, you could run 2 pumps off it

Try ebay and search on "12 V water feature transformer".

Looks like there are three which would do, each £27 including postage.

All sold by these people who have their own web site.

A plug in replacement and better than codging about with transformers in boxes and them sorting out the connection, especially if you don't have a transformer and box to hand and have to buy them.

99 percent of transformers are made in china. apliances camcorder chargers laptop cctv shavers ect , they seem to fail on a regular basis after a year

Yeah it seems that way. I think the whole thing was made in China so £30 quid was probably a fair price!
