It looks just like the one from hugspaint, I rate mine it does a great job.

Yup they are pretty good for what you pay, I treat them as disposables though.

I used this recently to spray the guard on my hacksaw, slightly different model, worked great, once I got the paint/thinners mixture right.

It was the first time I has used a spray gun ever so thought it would be good to start on this before I launch myself at the panels on my tractor.

Now trying to wade through the different etch primers, high build primers 1K, 2K epoxy, cellie, enamels etc. Will have to start asking silly questions soon as I've searched the site and I'm still scratching my head a little.

So far I think I'm using upol 1K etch primer, upol 1K high build primer then I'm not sure what "enamel" means as I've bought the usual tractor paint which is "enamel" but is this just another term for topcoat and can be celly, synthetic, 1k, 2K with/without isocyanate aaaaargh!! Why can't they just write what's in it on the tin.

Just my opinion but it should help you, firstly the best job will come from using 2K products, you just can't beat them. Secondly there is no place for the use of Synthetic/Enamel on a car. Thirdly read the data sheets, they are free and are supplied (if you ask) when you buy the paint.

Actually for car work its pretty easy really as you can break it down into 2 types, either Cellulose based or 2K based.

I guess what's confusing is that most tractor paints are "enamels". Quite a few are rebadged paints, I tore the paper label off the tin of paint I got from I think it was Southern County Tractors and found it was made by Witham Paints (by royal appointment don't you know ) - and if you try to find the technical sheets then they're not on line, but I could call them. Most tractor restorations use these enamels, a few do use 2K.

Perennial problem with 2K is safety, I can get the gun and the paint but getting an air fed mask etc. bumps up the price, and not sure my 50L compressor is up to feeding both spray gun and mask. And I can't get the main tractor casting down to the local spray booth easily. I could hand paint the chassis with 2K and take the panels to the spray booth I guess. However I would much prefer to do it myself as there are lots of little panels and pieces and they will not all be prepped at the same time.

I like the 0.8 size.

I have two of these ones. Can't really fault them except the lids seem to warp slightly or something, get a bit trickier to fit over time. But haven't felt the need to buy replacement pots yet. And the strainers that come with them are a bit small.
Both mine are 0.8s, great for bike and similar stuff.

Yep my lids do exactly the same thing, just a very small gripe

x3 on the lids warping that is a bit of a pain, but for the price cant really complain. I have the .8 one and a 1.0, the ones like Langy`s, haven't tried the 1.0 one yet so cant say if its better or not. For a high roller like you Bright it shouldn't break the bank
