SIP migmate 150 dual purpose - contact tip??

Got my first welder last week and finally got all the stuff I need to start welding.
I bought some contact tips and a new shroud but the old shroud is short and I also cant see anywhere to screw a contact tip?
The end of the swan neck is too small?

This is the type of welder I have, though the 150 version (now has steel liner and wire feed brace)

Swaying towards previous owner having snapped a tip in the swan neck.
Can anyone tell me if the clarke swan neck will fit as it's significantly cheaper and looks very similar.

Welcome Derskine. Close up pic of the end of your tourch should give us a clue if it has been snaped. Note in the hobby / small end welders the tips can be 5mm or 6mm thread! and the shrouds vary as well just to cause comfusion

Swan neck is in awful condition anyway, I've bought one of these, looks very similar to what I have and I've read elsewhere someone used a sip swan neck on their clarke so should work the other way, heres hoping

Ps love the capri in the avatar, I'm 90% through restoring a MK1 Cortina myself, gotta appreciate an old ford!

Gawd bit of a mess! I assume previous owner may have been using gassless wire and as is sometimes recomended may have removed the shroud as not required with gasless.
Hope what you have ordered fits. Think you will find the end down inside the handle comes in two sizes 8x1mm thread and 10x1mm thread would expect yours and the clarke ones to be 8mm type.
Only 10% left to do on your Cortina Mk1 lucky so and so
Working on the Capri is under a makeshift carport so not a lot gets done in this weather My first propper car was a Cortina Mk1 back in the late 70's lovley car, learned back then that cars need welding Then learned how to weld patches to rust Had never seen a Capri untill I had the Cortina and vowed to get one..... Only tooke 25 ish years to get round to it.
Oh the joy of making your own panels....

My mistake just looked at Weldequip's site and says the clarke (hobby type) swan neck is held in by a grub screw. Get a GOOD allan key that fits well before trying to unscrew the grub screw.

The polarity was set to gasless when I first got it so that would explain a lot.
If the end doesn't fit within the handle I can always make it fit, or try to - but it should looking at that.
Probably won't use gasless myself at all, my cortina was repaired by a local guy, using gasless, and though he seems to be really good at gasless, and it turned out acceptable, it's not excellent. Decided I can't rely on other people to do things like this, only way I can get it how I want is if I do it myself.

I've also learned that if you've got an old ford, you need a welder!
My workspace isnt much better, I have a tiny garage and can only just get the car doors open, so need to push it out for any work really - funnily enough it was my first car 3 years ago!

Take it panels are like hens teeth? new old stock cortina wings are £1500 a pair...
Be interested to see a build thread or something if you have one?

EDIT - Thats what I thought, I've got a nice fitting allen key here as I've already removed the grub screw, it will fit I reckon
