I officially scrap countless thousands of ££££s daily because of new council rules, I did a month of decomissioning huge ovens from schools, around £15k a pop. All goodworking equiment, but had to be scrapped..That is stealing the tax payers money, I prefer to think of what i do as recycling, a much greener approach. Just because some twit in a tie decides Mr A isnt qualified to use the machine he's been using for 20 years doesn't mean it must be scrapped..To me it should be tested and put back into circulation, sorry to rant, I see the money councils burn, it could feed and house all our homeless...I get angry lol

Yes mate, it will be loosely based on the plasanator, although I will come up with some better form of induction than heater elements, and am thinking along the neon transformer line for the HF..but its still in a gather the bits stage at the moment, it will be made of whatever I can get hold of cheap, so may have some plant pot or wheelbarrow in it..
No probs about the glitter, this weather needs it, reckon my plasma will too, cos if it doesn't work, it may as well look good..lol

They do it all the time, new regs etc, a load of bolox..they all meet eu standards, it's just local authority rules. We scrapped about 300 big, umm machines ( dont want to be too specific ) too, about £3k a pop. All working fine, and in use when scrapped. The normal reasoning is the staff aren't adequately trained to use them ( they may have been using it 15 years already ) or a district council has decided their own safety standards must be implemented, which are more stringent than B.S
TBH I can't fathom most of the reasoning, all I know is anything removed from council owned premises for the above reasons, must be scrapped, even if it was bought new 3 weeks ago..They say they have no money lol
To put things in perspective, a local authority pays people around £80 to change a light bulb because of all the criteria one must meet to perform such a complicated task..it does however keep a lot of people in ultimately pointless office jobs justifying ridiculous expenditure!
I have been using an inhaler for asthma for over 30 years, same prescription every week, still have to get the prescription though, I can't be trusted to self administer, I may inadvertently stick it up my a**e and die. It's a mad nanny state we live in. Funny old world.
