The aerial is quite an expensive one and this part can not be replaced as far as I can see. Definately not made out of Aluminium. Looks like i'm gonna have to scrap it which is a shame as it is a fantastic aerial and it's not even mine

Looking at that photo, the adjustable part which has snapped, you should be able to pick up a cheap mount which you can nick that piece off, (that seems a fairly standard design, from memory), if you want to keep the rest of the existing mount. There might be some slight design difference, but nowt which would notably affect it.

The part that has snapped is not replaceble. Its this aerial here: http://www.4x4cb.com/public/item.cfm?itemID=693
So its either fix it or scrap it. Gonna try welding it tomorrow and see what happens.

I've got an old DV27 with a vaguely similar mount you can have. If you were to drill and tap it you may get away with it, but you'd need to check the SWR as its probably a different length.
Possibly more trouble than its worth though. If it were mine, I'd fudge it somehow. Not by welding though - its probably made of cheese. I wonder if that lumiweld stuff would stick it back together?

Cack laptop keyboard, goes off on one when it feels like it.
That looks to be a sirrio 2000 or somthing like antenna and you could get all the spares for them at one time but im not sure now...Over.AndyStobbs

Wouldn't be too difficult to remake 'a' mount. Get some close fitting tube over the bottom of the aerial, slot it out, and crimp it on with jubilee clips. Then do whatever works best with the other end.
