lathe motor

seen a few clarke wood lathes going cheap on the bay lately.
less than tenner type cheap.
would the motors be ok to use with pulleys fitted to power other projects?
things like a belt sander, polishing unit etc.

u havent said if there foot or flange mounted and what horsepower they are. getting diffrent size pulleys to fit might be a problem . u can buy pulley s that just need boring out to size or use taperlocks

I bought a wood lathe specifically because I wanted the motor and pulleys off it. I think it was a Coronet No1 and the motor was a foot mount.
