no no no l am resisting stripping down and starting again, l have just slapped a couple of patches on the bottom to stop it falling in half, just modified some wheels with tractor type tread to fit on as the ones on it at the moment will turn them selves into slicks at the first sign of mud,
l just want to use it to go down into the wood area to plant 3 or 4 thousand trees in jan/feb, a rebuild is not on the agenda
but making a new chassis dosent look to hard

l like the green chassis too, l dident think l would as l have always been of the opinion that a chassis and suspension should always be dark black
green sounds like it should be in a fair ground somewhere but oddly enough it works, must be something to do with john deere and the way they paint all their tractor chassis green and wheels/seats yellow
my place is tiny or at least the house is, l live in an ex council end terrace where you would give a cat concussion if you tried to swing it
however l chose it because there was space on the side to build a garage l parked 2 high top lwb ldv vans end to end and drew round them and then told the council l wanted to build a garage that big, to my suprise they said fine, pp granted, but l think it must have been a faulty tape measure as there was space for 3 vans in there when l finished building it
the other pics you see are my barns down the road, l took a different view to a pension 30 years ago when robert fell of his boat after dipping his fingers into the pension pot at the mirror group, l took out a second mortgage and bought a 25 acre field, seemed a struggle at the time and met with a lot of ressistance from the family and the bank manager, but l had the last laugh as the mortgage finished years ago and l get to play with my pension when ever l want
l was in talks with a developer and the council before the credit crunch about my 25 acre becoming another dickens heath ( posh housing estate )
but that all evaporated with the lacking of building going on, but it will return one day, so when l dissapear off here with out trace you will know l have had my 25 million, will send you a post card from a warm island some where

but only once the island has got a fresh supply of scrap to keep you busy
it will be a scrap free island, the wife will see to that, no drills no welders no grinders, l have been told

Nice one, the green definitely works, like you, I was with Henry Ford on the any colour you like as long as its black but that looks good to me. I usually find the builders I deal with have the same issues with their tape measures when it comes to measuring at final account stage Hope the development comes to something, but I bet you'd still buy something rusty to pull apart and modify millionare or not it's in your blood.

Funny, I thought on more than one occasion you had won the lottery or some other big pay out. So I doubt very much you would stop posting here or anywhere else, you like messing about too much

l dont think thats going to happen, even if l win the lottery l will just have newer junk to play with lol , first shopping trip would be rocester
l have no desire for a ferrari, porshe or any other car but a new 45 ton excavator now that appeals
and Nick Boles latest scheme dident go unnoticed by me

but planning permission was not the issue with my land as the proposals were initiated by the council, its the developers who have cold feet, they seem reluctant to build hundreds of homes that they might not sell as people still struggle to get mortgages

my lottery first purchase would be a nice modern eco friendly warehouse, then id try and fill it full of things i like as well as starting a business to build all the ideas iv worked on for the past few years
we have a family friend that has a similar issue but over cambridge way. His father died and left a huge plot of land and he has been approached by several builders but his brother is being greedy on price

You must keep a whole bunch of local trades in work!
lol yup thats the way to look at it
quite worryingly it was same day service at the blasters, usually the place is stacked out with old baths and radiators and it takes 4 or 5 days to get my bits done, place was very quiet and tidy too which is always a sure sign of not enough work
