Hi all, I am still messing about with my sons '90' '89 ex RAF as my previous post, still needing a bit of help please from all you Landy fans.
There is a prop shaft vibration from the rear prop, I have removed the prop & split the joints, there is a slight tightness in the rear, though not enough to cause vibration I would say, but looking on the sliding spline markings the UJ joints would be set up 45 degrees out of phase, though the prop was set up in phase ie with the joints in line as how you would expect. I know the front runs 33 degrees out of phase because the flanges are out of line, but all I can find out from the LR manual & on the web sites state the rear should be in phase.
Do any of you know or have come across this, are some of them different, possibly because it's MOD spec, has the prop been assembled correctly & the marks are wrong? I am getting 2 new UJ's & will refit the prop as the manual, in phase & see if the vibration has gone, if not try it to the marks & try again, but it would be good to get it right & know that is how it was meant to be
Thanks for your help
