Hi, I'm new on here so hello to all of you. I'm repairing my Triumph sports car and have been using a Sip migmate 130, the welds have not been great and I thought it must be me, I have welded in the past with this machine and it;s never been that great. After reading about the SIP on the=is forum,I now wonder if it's the machine (I know,a poor workman blames his...) so, I have been looking into buying a new mig welder and was looking at either a Clarke 150/160 machine or the GYS smartmig 162.
I do have a refillable argon mix bottle and regulator that I use on the SIP, so I will want to stay with a gas mig setup, I'm looking to spend around £350.
Any advise would be very helpful, I'm also open to other welders, so if you have any other advise on different machines, please spill the beans.
