I've tried the speed and power, might try the tension tomorrow if not I'll try changing the liner and tip. Is it possible simply to drill the tip ?
No you shouldn't drill the tip The tip is where the actual welding power is transfered to the wire and you don,t wont the wire slack in the tip as it creates arcing and can lead to wire feed problems.
If you turn the wire feed up full on the lowest power setting, does it still burn back to the tip?
or does it push the gun away from the work.
Pull the trigger to give approx 3" of wire sticking out from the Shroud,
hold the end of the wire tightly and pull the trigger .
Does the wire feed and the wire bend while you are holding the end of the wire.
If not, check you have the right feed rolls and sufficient feed roll tension.
If yes check that the wire is feeding fast enough on full.
Also check the voltage reading on the power settings.

Hello islandjj.HI I have a MIG FERM 150/1 .
It feeds OK when the arc is not struck. BUT when the arc is struck , the wire feeds and burns back to the nozzel tip causing the feed to stop. Any help would be much appriciated
Did you manage to resolve the problem?
