Reading gas flow / Regulator or Torch?

The CK cups will only fit CK collet bodies, the CK collet bodies are the same fitment as 'Weldcraft' which has become a bit like Hoovers in that most torches are Weldcraft style i.e. a CK17, WP17, SR17 and a whole bunch of others are all 3/8 UNEF thread (along with 18 and 26 sizes) with 9/20 sizes using a 5/16 UNF. CK wedge collets are interchangable with the Weldcraft style. Clear cups don't stay clear for ever and are (or used to be, not used the CK ones) fragile compared to the pink alumina ones.

I've got a Ck torch (Trimeline flex head 26) on the way from Rapid welding also, along with a gas lens and a few other little bits.
It will be good to see the difference it makes on stainless as I have only used standard collect bodies and cups so far.

Since setting my gas flow from the flow meter this new bottle seems to be lasting alot longer than my previous

Sadly it's not the Flex Loc I went for but the the usual flex neck type. This one:-

The Flex Loc range in air-cooled only go up to a max of 150amps and I wanted something that would go up to the capacity of the machine so went for the 26 size in trimline.

I was told that all of my current wp26 fittings will still work on the new torch so I assume that you can fit the Ck gas lens's onto other torches of the same size.

I'll post up some pics and what it's like when it finally arrives...

ok my ck pyrex gas lense turned up today tried them on wp26 torch that come with my tecarc inverter. it screws into the torch no problems the top white collar just buts up against the torch but its held in place with the collet body.

so it fits and money not wasted just need the bits to get my wp 17 torch to fit me tig now

i have a wp17v torch as well and it fits that too.

just waiting on a new plug so i can use that on my tecarc for any tight places
was the main reason for buying that kit will order another later
but the shorter one.

yes they are good langy nice to be able to see more of the tungsten on the small bits that need welding.

Christ that's a bit long. If you're struggling to get into an area to weld that lot isn't going to help.

I think I'll stay with short shrouds gas lens and a bit of stick out

my button cap dont clamp down on the collet so new one is on order.
