well ive got a light bar for a landie came off a 110 with 4 oblong wipac spots on it
and a couple of round spots 8 inch will have to measure them for the bumper think they are wipac hair raisers with covers and a 115 amp alternator for a 300 tdi £80 plus P&P
seeing where im going on country roads
don't actually like the look of the roof mounted ones but driving is so much nicer with good lights

i'm an old skool rally driver and have used cibie for 25 years. Rule of thumb: if its a plastic body its only good for show. With decent ones, there are usually 3 lens patterns (fog drive and spot) so check before you buy. Finally, don't rely on just the main mounting. A tiny bit of deflection at the lamp is a massive amount of flicker at the end of a spot light beam so get/make a brace for top of lamp to vehicle body.

Not legal to use roof mounted spots on public roads. There is a max height for legal auxillary lights. Those you see on roof's are classed as work lights and intended for off road / stationary use. Of course in the real world people use them on the road but you should know doing so is illegal and can get you a fine if caught.

£50 isn't going to get you a lot if they're new, unless they're only to look pretty. But you should find something second hand.
A pair of half decent 8" spots with spot or driving light (ie long range) beams and 100W bulbs would do the trick, but spending anything less than about £100 and they'll rust or fall apart in no time. Wired to a relay off main beam obviously.
As said above, mount them solidly to the vehicle. On my Pajero I have two 8" Wipac lights on the front bumper, which is solidly fixed to the chassis, so no noticeable vibration. The standard headlights are 8" and have a reasonable sideways spread but lack the distance, hence why I've added the driving lights.

I can only recommend Cibie or Hella, driven with both types for many years but you will have to increase your budget
Presently using Hella FF1000, excellent for country lanes but £150 a pair!

I've always fitted security nuts, haven't lost any in 30+ years, found them twisted a couple of times by attempted theft, but nuts defeated the scrotes!
also stabiliser bars on the top (to stop flicker) helps.

A good solution, just make sure your wiring can carry the extra current or fit relays etc.
