Has any of you fine folk got a rough figure in mind for decking costs per m2?

Cost of materials factoring in deck boards, bearers and joists etc

What timber, just the tanalised softwood?

Have a look on Wickes for a rough guide....
Lists the material in price per m/2....

Cheapest possible because its a big area (75 m2) so I am guessing softwood.....

Might get a good price on the materials then!

Got to be about 50, even done on the cheap.

Big area that! Have you considered asphalt

I priced my patio area a couple of months ago 25 m2, boards, screws, bearers and a few bits to make a handrail along one edge, was coming out around the £600 mark.. was not the best quality but also not the cheap 20mm stuff.

I recon its gonna cost too much to do in one hit.

I'll have to see how I can do it in stages, without looking rediculous.

I am waiting until the back end., usually you can get some better prices closer to winter and considering this wet summer means many may still have a lot of stock then there could be some good discounts.

Cost of materials factoring in deck boards, bearers and joists etc

Get hold of some wooden pallets take them apart use a bench saw to cut groves and it will only cost you the price of petrol to collect, your time and whatever you use for preservative.

Mine lasted four year and i only treated it twice in that time.

The fence was also made of pallets.
