It is a G&G Guzzi.

I did have some proper specs, but cannot find them at present. Basically, I think 1100 DOHC water cooled Vtwin. Barrels and heads are turned through 90* making the exhausts excellent crash bars. I think that the crankcase, crank, gearbox and shaft-drive were standard. Just goes to show what can be done with old technology.

There one for sale on fleabay but I did not get decent pics.

Here is a real beauty to salivate over, especially you Kiwis.

Hand made in Wellington, NZ. Hand made means everything you see apart from bearings, tyres, electrics, that kind of stuff. 1000 Vtwin where the widest thing apart from the upper fairing was the rear tyre. I bought the Baby, a cap and the video, yes video, years ago. . I even got a thank you card from Kirsteen for sending a condolence card on Johns' death.

Still stunned by what this man did. Such a loss.

But the Britten, I've just had a trouser accident !! That is my favourite EVER bike !!
The guy is a legend and a tragic loss to the world. I have the model kit bought from the Britten website, still unbuilt !! I remember seeing it humiliate the works Ducati's at Daytona ! If I ever won Lotto a V1000 would be on my buy now list !

The Swallower did go into production, but a bit fatter and without the trellis.

Love those brutally updated Guzzi's and the Britten
I used to like reading about the Battle of The Twins in the late 80's, Britten's, John Wittner and his mental Guzzis.

Wonderful stuff.

Somewhere in the depths of my archives I have pix of some very interesting Guzzi's taken at the Lemans and Bol D'or 24 hrs when I was there in the 80's. The Frog's and Gerry's were well into their Guzzi's back then !! That Swallower Guzzi above looks like it has a Hossack style front end.

I used run around taking pictures of allsorts, but often bikes in one form or another. Westgate Road is only five miles away, so that was an excellent place for some local hot machines. I will scan my slides one day.

You may remember Loyblox running a Ducati in BOTT, it was run by Roy Thersby Wheels. Did some shots for him, for some product. Still got them, with the rest.

The Hossack and derivatives are all over. Norman commented on Brittens' variation favourably. The way all proper bikes should be, not two sticks getting thicker and thicker. Do not get me started on Funny Front Ends.....or recumbents....

Same here, I used to expose roll after roll of film on anything that appealed to me. Lots of bike's, car's, steam loco's, stationary engine's, etc.
I don't specifically recall the Loyblox Ducati but loved all of the BOTT Ducati's. I used to be a permanent fixture down at Newton Equipment in London when I was turning my 900SS into an NCR rep !!

There was a hoard of 'Airfix' models up for auction in ?Stockton? yesterday.

If you were not so far away, I would wonder if it was you.

I could not stay away from them, all built bar Baby Britten, I think.

I served my apprenticeship as a modelmaker, ships for Swan Hunter and others, CrunchingMole tunnel diggers, really varied and interesting. Got plenty pictures of those too.

Bad news, run out of gas, and the man who I had asked for a big bottle has not answered my email.

I'm in the process of disposing of my stash of mostly Tamiya with 1 or 2 Protar kits, just realised I'll never get around to building them now. It's a pain though because the 1/12 ones are a pain to pack up for shipping !! I'm retaining a few though, just for nostalgia !!
The one that is a bit of a wrench to let go of is a boxed and unbuilt Pocher 1/8 Ferrari F40 but it's value has gone so high now that it must go.
Just keeping a few bikes and the odd car.
Considering your model making skills, do you fancy building the Britten for a some drinking vouchers ?!

Just almost demolished my front room.
Black Betty by The Rah Band came on the radio.
I remember hearing it played at a big beach party in Ghana.
I did confuse the locals when I showed them how White men dance to rock and roll.

Lauren Laverne will be airing a Peoples' Playlist in remembrance of Jon Lord today around 11.30am I think, on 6Music.

I do not think i have heard anything 'shocking' in music since New Born by Muse, or maybe Chop Suey by System of a Down.

That will be me though.

As for old age,I'm still waiting.I'm 60 and still chuck the tent on the bike,and clear off to a rally somewhere.Live band and a few ciders,where does the weekend go?
