Handy little machine though if you just need a bit of lighting.. cheap enough as well with 3 year warranty.

How good are they for cutting ? I have to cut out a small section of door channel and my 4 1/2" grinder is too big.

I burnt my Aldi combi tool out last week after years of use and I was really teed off, I was pleased to see this one back in and it's still a good price. The old one came with a bench mount and flexy drive which I still have and a lot of the attachments. The originals were 160 watts as opposed to 135 watts for the new one and these have a little pistol grip.

It will be powerful enough although the cutting discs that come with it may be too light, the discs are more for hobby work.

Those little generators can be handy for running small angle grinders away from home etc, as long as wattage is compatible .

Might be a one-off, but someone at the stables bought one, only lasted a few weeks running lighting, couldn't get money back as it had been used outside (in a shelter)

I think they would have had a good argument from me, the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning from running one 'inside' would have beaten them surely.

That's why no-one else has taken one back then, they've died of carbon monoxide poisoning before it packs up!

I think there maybe a high chance I could possibly, most likely and probably will be tempted to go for the bench grider/sander

As I already have a bench grinder with 2 grinding wheels, I will change the grinding wheel for a wire wheel.
