wet grinder disc

would there be such a thing as a wet grinder disc to fit a 4 1/2 or 5 inch grinder??
i want something to wet grind some blades so as to keep the heat down

how would you keep the water out of the grinder ?
i think it runs too fast to involve water it would be everywhere, dodgy gorund there

obviously there would be a better guard for the disc

I'd be inclined to use an air grinder.

its too fast the water would be thrown out all over the user who would then be soaked and electrocute him self as he turned of the grinder

i do have a small wet grinder but it doesnt involve and angle grinder and it runs slowly

you need a grinder that takes a stone and not one from the beach

just buy a cheap bench grinder and a bucket of water to dunk the tools in what are u sharpening woodworking tools ??

i have made a small jig to hold baler knifes
they are curved blades like so

the last thing they need is getting too hot when sharpening
at tho mo i use a flap disc and go carefully not to heat any more than i can touch
but would like to keep them cooler if possible

Used to use a wet grinder to polish stone water and muck goes everywhere! My Welles are still grey. The shaft had a hole down the middle as did the diamond disks. A company at lockerby supplied them but name escapes me

Why not just use an air grinder, as suggested earlier, and then have a hose feeding water onto the blade whilst sharpening?

Is the idea to sharpen them without removing them from the machine ? The ones in your picture are scalloped and the best way to sharpen would be to flat grind them on the other side using something like the water bath bench grinder shown earlier with a guide of some kind or a very expensive Tormek system.
