i know they are very hit and miss when it comes to tools.mostly miss.
but you do get the odd bargain.

picked up a set of flexi head ratchet spanners today.
8,10,13,15,17mm for 16.99 euros

72 tooth mechanism=5 degree working arc.usual ebay stuff is only 45 tooth

surprised with the quality of the mechanism.

not as good as my Gearwrench's obviously,but they were nearly e200.

really handy as spares

I find the heads to be larger than the better makes, making it harder if not impossible to use on some close fitting nuts.

It's also worth noting ratchet spanners are not designed to break off or fully tighten. You will damage the mechanism.

A standard fixed head spanner or socket must be used.

thats why they are open on the opposite end

gearwrench is a little narrower,maybe 1.5mm on a 10mm spanner

It's a combi spanner, nothing to do with using the open end to crack/tighten bolts.

What happens if you cannot get in with the open end

i never said theyre a '1 for all' tool

you crack the nut with the open end,and use the other to loosen

if it doesntt fit,grab something else from your toolbox

We've had the fixed head ratchets in the maintenance toolboxes for a few years, the only failure so far was a heavy handed fitter killed one of the 10mm wrenches
They seem to cope with industrial use so should be fine for the home workshop.

I found that out the hard way a few years ago. Working blind on a confined bolt, thought the bolt was giving, when it was actually the spanner head which was bending. One knacked spanner.
