Opinions on this regulator?

Intended use is for a Hobbyweld bottle (side port) to replace a regulator I'm borrowing from a mate:

I presume that if it doesn't end up upright when tightened up that the flow meter won't work correctly?

It's calibrated to work vertically, but you can get right angled adaptors if needed.

its also Chineese so you may be stung for import duty

UK ones are available at similar prices and will probably be better - him upstairs for a start.

I bought a set of tig welding tips from that seller, took ages to arrive, well over 6 weeks.
Quality was not that grate,
Thing with the regulator is, what if don't work right or arrives broken.
You have to cover the postage costs of sending it back.

and youll probably get one of weldequip's next day, for the same price ( and probably cheaper if you get landed with import duty) and you've done a little bit to keep a UK company going.

I see what you mean but I really want one with a peashooter flow gauge on the regulator. I see that weldequip sell these as an add-on (taking total cost to £45.90 + P&P). From what I've read you need a fixed pressure regulator in order for a peashooter flow gauge to be accurate, so it seems a little illogical to purchase both rather than an integrated unit.

I've had a look but didn't find any UK suppliers that sell integrated side-port with flow meter regulators. OK could add a 90 elbow adapter to a vertical one but that adds yet another tenner (at least) to the cost.

Pretty much any regulator will work, just wind it up to above the flow rate required then control your flow with the flow gauge.
