Source of wheels / castors to run on scaffolding poles ?

I'm building a small storage shed at the bottom of the garden.
Due to sloping land the base will be mounted on a frame made out of scaffolding poles and KeeKlamp fittings.
I'd like to be able to pull the whole shed (when empty) away from the fence to get access for preserving both every year or so.
The ideal solution would be some wheels / castors on the bottom of the shed base that would run on the scaffolding poles.
Whilst I don't want to make / machine the actual wheels from scratch no problem making the pivot brackets.
Something like the centre of these wheels -

although prererably metal
Anyone an idea of a source for such concave wheels / castors ?

My first thoughts were the steel centre out of wheelbarrow wheels, but I guess you can't get them any more....

Mini wheels, or similar, with the rim cut down perhaps?

what load can they take? or forklift style wheels, dont forget a track for them to run on or youl have them sink up to there nuts in the grass

Personally I like the idea of moving the shed, I'd arrange it so the shed could be moved full so you don't have to empty it to get at a panel to remove it!

Al/Stuvy - he wants the wheels to run along horizontal scaffolding poles, these will form a track.

Although still available it's illegal for domestic use. I had 40 litrs "in stock" when the ban came into force and had to take it to the council tip where they had a special section for disposal as hazardous waste.

I now have changed my fencing panels (just under 30 of them as I have a corner property that fronts the road on three sides !) for Tanalized and then use modern preservative. The stuff that is little more than waterproof PVA glue with die ! Three coats and the finish is acceptable but I find it soon weathers and need redoing every 2 years to stay tidy looking. The shed will also be made out of Tanalized timber.

errr i just bought 10 gallons of the stuff along with 5 gallons of parafin and 2 gallons of waste engine oil to mix in seeing as though its banned id better not use it got to protect the enviroment havent we .20 quid says the local scrotes wont be leaning on my fence any more

Remember a few years ago when you couldn't buy Brazil nuts in shells ? That was becasue of a knee jerk reaction by retailers after scientists found a link between part of the shell and cancer !

Perhaps go to the scrappies for old car wheels less the tyres and pick up the matching hubs as well .. weld the hub & stub axle to a plate and screw / bolt them to the shed .......gives you a GTI shed the bare hubs should run well on two side by side scafold tubes . If you made the rails as waist height they could also serve as hand rails and storage points etc even a place to lay some scafold boards for a temporary bench .

Design it so it is slightly inclinded from back up to the front so that when the shed is at rest it sits neat on the base and then pull it forward up the incline and it will clear the base .
You could also really kick the **** out of things and use a locking over centre leverage method to raise and lower the wheels or design a frame or up right and a transom that will clamp to the fence post and use the frame to hoist up the panel above the shed for a quick spray both sides then slide it back .

It looks like I'll be having to resort to this latter idea for I also have 28 panels to up keep with limited access on the other sides.

My brickie tells me that he has had a lot of success spraying two coats of B&Q concrete /patio sealer £ 13 ( ish ) per 5 litres six or more panels both sides per can on both sides of his panels before he puts the fence up .
He reckons that they last well over 10 yrs instead of the usual five or six. ..... Providing that the posts are H section concrete and the bottom of the fence has a concrete gravel board to hold the panel 6 to nine inches or more from the ground ( the dew point )

Remembered I've got a load of 450kg load cast iron casters in the garage left over from when I planned on having my guillotine and folder (both ancient cast iten items but since sold) "mobile".
Will dig them out tomorrow and hopefully there is enough "meat" on them to pop in the lathe and machine a groove that matches the 48mm dia of scaffolding poles.

If there is not enough meat you might be able to turn up enough discs 6 mm thick to bolt/ screw & counter sink ...either side of each wheel and just kind of add on your own rims to the wheels instead .

Was thinking about this in the shower this am, as you do - I have great moments in there and thought about the trip hazard with the rails, but as pcw has suggested making them into handrails which would solve that issue if you've got the space.
