Those straight grinders are way above my price range BUT I always search ebay for bargains so something may turn up, not that I need one but one would be nice.
Well been playing about again so thought I would update my progress.
Spent in time about 2-3 days working on my Swingarm, again by hand, Obital and then to the Polishing wheel's. Took ages as the Honda NC30 Single Side Swingarm is a huge lump with awkward curves and major lumps of casting marks.
The arm is not perfect, could have spent another day on all the bits you just don't see or that would be covered up, and also the inside of the Arm I was struggling with, the mop would not fit. This is where the Straight grinder would come in handy, the reflection on this part is not mirror but is still quite shiny. I'm happy with my progress and work, good not chasing pits but there are not many of them.
I did try using some Talc but I found this made the Ally go really dull, more of a matt finish so went back to using the Meguiars and this again done the trick and brought it up to a nice shine with not a bad reflection.
Anyhow here are a few photos of my efforts, feel free to comment good or bad:
Photo uploader does not seem to work so my have to photobucht them.
