Thought it was about time I got my A$$ in gear and built a new welding bench after grovelling around on various wooden benches with bits of steel on top, and the floor too...(artificial knees really don't like that), so in the vernacular of us down ere in Debn....ere tiz....material is 60x60x5mm box, 5mm plate for the castor bases, swiveling / braked castors,6mm plate for the top and o/a size is 2x1x1mtr......
Frame Top
Legs with castor bases
A couple of fillets
Ye trustee mig
New chop saw
Castors
A few more to follow.....

some people may wonder why I have only used one horizontal brace....well I wasn't going to use any at all, but seeing as I came by the steel as a gift, it was a shame not to, anyway the reason for only one is that the bench has been built with my wife's car being able to get into the garage in mind, so built it high and wide enough so she can drive the front of her car underneath....
