hi i cant find any big refillable bottles of gas anywhere at mo and really need to start welding this week so found the cheap throw away ones in halfords, but how long will these last as there tiny, i will get a big bottle soon but just really need to start now, how long ie constant welding for day or 2, how many bottle do you suggest, thanks

If you've got a lot to do then you'll get through them rapidly and it'll cost you an arm and a leg.
Amazed you can't find a source of refillables near you, have you asked Agautosport where his nearest supplier is?

Not so cheep I am afraid, you will get about 5 of 10 minutes per bottle depending on flow rate.
As soon as possible, I recently changed to rent-free 10L Argon/ CO2 from SWG and wish I had done it a long time ago.
There are a number of existing threads that discuss the pros and cons of various gas suppliers, have a good read through them and find a local supplier.
