I need to make some replacement waterpipes for an engine as the manufacturer no longer makes them and the mild ones are rotting awayI need to make about 10 of these but most likely a lot more over the next few years.
I thought that putting a bead into stainless was going to be an issue because of its hardness
Langy id do that if i had a lathe but alas no space for one in my already overcrowded garagecould i run a cold'ish weld so it sits proud allowing the rubber hose to seal with the jubilee clip? Or are there any other options?
To be honest if you rough up the area where the hose sits and use decent stainless clips it won't ever come off.
For me buying decent stainless clips would not be an issue but I would be supplying them to customers who may not be willing to spend the extra
Dr.Shox Thanks for the heads up, that sounds like the easiest solution to me![]()
No chance, they're ford owners, they wouldn't have bought one in the first place if they did....![]()
You seem to have mixed up 'First' with 'Fix' there, damned autocorrect strikes again eh?
Not sure if its still current but a few years ago Ford had won more races than all the other marques combined.
