is there another name for a 3 core braided cable for the household iron.
the one you use for ironing clothes.
I cant seem to get it locally.
all I get its cheaper to buy a new iron for what its worth but as you woman
its my favourite iron(you mean its the only one you fecking got)

I've got a fault on my iron that I can't fathom. It heats up OK and the light goes out after a while, but it won't move about like it should. It just sits there when you put it down on the ironing board.

Cut the cable of near to the iron.... well its cheaper than payin £5 on ebay

Thats easy to diagnose, you are obviously missing a vital component, the wife

My wife has tried to convince me that because it has a flex on it it's a power tool. I've convinced her that we don't need to iron things nowadays and anyway it wears clothes out rubbing them with a heavy lump of metal.

also, B&Q sell it off the reel, cut to length yourself.

A few places round here do it off the reel, even some of the cheapo stores (Wilkinsons etc)

... or just hang you T-shirts up to dry when they're still damp and you don't get creases - no need for an Iron
(* unless you're one of those fashion-conscious types who irons jeans )
